An obnoxiously in-your-face, contrived, and hilariously not scary (I know, give me the hate) horror film. It completely hinges onto cliches seen so, so many times before in much better horror films. This ultimately is a modernized version of Poltergeist. The score is irritating, the dialogue is poor, ugh. There's barely any subtlety, making it nearly impossible to be scared by anything. It also annoyed me how consistently this film relies on jump-scares. Overall, a very uninspired film.
