I started to watch this movie without any prejudice. Of course at first every viewer is startled to see the two actors, Meg Ryan and Mark Ruffalo, interpreting characters so different and unusual from those we are used to. But I think they have done a great job; the first shaking off her affectation, the second playing an intriguing, mysterious detective without being reduced to a stereotype.
