Oh, in the name of God! Now I know what it feels like to be God!
-Henry Frankenstein

I think it might be the first time I've seen this film from beginning to end in one sitting, but I can't be sure. Either way I haven't seen this in roughly 25 years so I wasn't sure how I was going to enjoy it. It's one of those childhood memories that I wasn't sure I wanted to ruin by revisiting the film. I'm glad I did.

Boris Karloff's monster is still sympathetic. Colin Clive as Dr. Frankenstein still chews the scenery in an incredibly entertaining fashion. The sets are still fantastic. Lastly the scene with the little girl Maria is still disturbing to this day.
