While it is good to see the old gang again, American Reunion does little to invite new audiences, merely reproducing the gross-out humour, sexual tension and painful embarrassment that was successful for the original. It lacks in a similar fashion to the other sequels, but for fans of the franchise this is certainly a fitting send off... hopefully.
