All-time favorite film. Purely for nostalgic reasons.

Word of warning: This film contains way more swearing then you remember it did. Beware before watching with your kids, if they (or you) are sensitive to that stuff.

I'm still chewing on this. There are parts I really enjoyed, and parts I absolutely despised. I imagine that's by design, but it was still hard for me to get behind it. I'll say this though: Beautifully shot, loved the sound and music, and Ryan Gosling did a great job. That first chase scene was a sight to behold.

Casino Royale ushers in a decidedly new era of Bond. He's rough around the edges, fights dirty, and doesn't always, or should I say rarely, has the upper hand. His interactions with Vesper (who is absolutely amazing) are as charming as they are disarming: "There are dinner jackets and dinner jackets; this is the latter." Wow.

One of best Bond films yet.
