Something wicked this way comes.

Apparently a remake of sorts from the 1960 film of the same name by Kim Ki-young. I want to search it out now as I enjoyed this film thoroughly so I am intrigued to see what the original is like.

I was expecting some sort of erotic thriller but it was more melodrama with a dash of thriller. It has great camera work and lush visuals with some good performances. At its core it is a very simple tale, playing on the dynamics of a warped rich family household and their new housemaid. Definitely not for everyone, but ticked my boxes.
