It's only redeeming feature was that it was heavily cut and that someone, presumably the distributor, decided to bulk out some of the more viscous 'set pieces' by reusing footage. After seeing the exact same unconvincing reaction shot four of five times the film started to take on a hypnotic quality not dissimilar to Herzog's Fata Morgana.
