Much funnier than I assumed a drag comedy indie would be. A friend wanted to watch it on Netflix Instant Watch. Love Varla Jean Merman and I only realized after it was over that the oldest queen in the movie was actually the Mayor's assistant who Faith killed on Buffy!
Loved this -- like obsessed love -- as a kid but as an adult it's something of a slog. Weirdly stage bound and inert as cinema. But the songs / costumes are loverly. Bless Marni Nixon, one of my true idols.
