A strong enough performance from Streep, and the script expertly toes the middle line to convince both the extremes of Thatcher-lovers and Thatcher-haters that it's on their side. No-one will come out of seeing this film being any less convinced of the viewpoint they already held, however this leaves the film lacking in impact for those on the politically undecided middle ground.
