A solid and deliberately generic remake. Aside from some atrocious exposition and a canned cheese climax its not bad, and features some decent action sequences. Just don't expect any interesting surprises.
So solid it causes constipation?
That would have been a better review.
Not sure it is deliberately generic!
I think its as close to generic as any film I've ever seen - a rewrite to reach the broadest possible audience.
