I'm not much of a fan of 3D re-releases, but seeing the movie of my childhood on a big IMAX screen was somewhat magical indeed. The 3D conversion looks good for a movie two decades old, but, as usually, it did not add much to the overall experience.

Well almost every character in this movie is at least a little interesting, except for that whiny kid with the bored voice who happens to be the protagonist. Nice music though, and a fantastic Under Pressure sequence.

Of all the movies I was looking forward to in 2012, this is the only one that did not disappoint me.

Oh them good ol' times where people had funny haircuts and were allowed to smoke on airplanes. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong decade.

The movie was good, too.
