I felt like there were three separate movies here that were each less meaningful than the last.

Great film but the Mandarin stuff has left me really conflicted.

I was 5 years old when this movie came out and finally seeing it on the big screen it was just as impactful as the first time. Even most of the CG held up really well. Truly a classic.

I knew Wreck-it Ralph was going to be great but not absolutely fantastic. As a 'gamer' I loved all the classic video game references, especially some of the more subtle ones.

Even with decades of video game tropes and characters to lean on, Wreck-it Ralph got away from those fairly quickly and started to build its own fiction around some great characters.

Often hilarious and emotional when it needed to be, Ralph would have been one of my favorite films of 2012 if I had seen it a few months earlier but for now it holds a very special place in my heart.
