Letterboxd — Your life in film

Nothing I like better in a movie than surprises and/or unexpected twists. I'm also a sucker for organized crime films. The Departed was the perfect combo.

Great movie. I'm not typically drawn to love stories, but this one impressed me. Strong acting. Strong story. Strong ending.

One of my favorite movies when it first came out, and unlike other movies that I grow tired of over time, this one withstood the test of time. I still enjoy watching it after 10+ views. Action packed. Noble themes.

Slow start. Several awkward interactions between characters. Second half of movie was much better. A few gory scenes not for the faint hearted.

Great movie but ends abruptly.
