Year of Birth: 1986
Ok, so I realise that there are notable omissions such as Platoon, Top Gun, Color of Money, Crocodile Dundee, Labyrinth etc etc but I'm obviously only including films I've seen (in full) + those I've seen recently enough to actually remember!

This Year of Birth stuff is infectious, isn't it? ;-)
Very! Couldn't resist.
Had a look at the year my wife was born (84) and she had so much better films than me! Nightmare on Elm Street, Terminator, Spinal Tap, Ghostbusters, Temple of Doom etc.
They're like a disease! They keep popping up everywhere!
You've got some classics here. Highlander should be higher up though.....
Great idea though. Having a bit of fun reading them all and getting unfathomably jealous at other people being born in a "better" year than I was.
I was never a huge fan of Highlander but it has been years since I last saw it. Maybe I should revisit it.
Not that impressed with 1972 to be honest. Want to swap? :-p
I was never a big fan of Highlander
Now where's that unfollow button..... ;)
Never got Highlander at all. '86 was a great year - I remember it well.
@Keith, nah, you're alright thanks! You can keep 1972; Godfather and Conquest of.. aside, of course.
@Dirk, Haha! it's not that I particularly dislike Highlander, just don't actually love it as much as others do.
Although, 72 does also have Solaris and Fist of Fury....
Mine is the best year.....Jaws ;)
All ways getting told "what's your favourite movie of all time"
As I have just joined up, my lists so far are top 20's from 1975 to today (still working on them) ..please take a look.
*checks profile*
*sees Good, Bad & The Ugly as one of favourite films*
Sure, will do. Welcome to Letterboxd!
Nice selection of film from that year. Loving that Transformers got on there. Love that film, great soundtrack. I may have to make one of these lists myself I think.........
What a fun list. I'm a big fan of this. Gonna have to do one of my own now. 1986 also gave us Blue Velvet, Top Gun, An American Tail, Critters, Labyrinth, Platoon and the massively awesome The Wraith. A fine vintage
