I saw this over the course of several weeks actually which isn't the best way to treat a movie. Maybe that is why I wasn't really into it until the very end. I did find several scenes in the end to show off some great acting and emotions.

I love the scenery and the story is cute but not very captivating. Maybe I'm too old. I will always keep showing movies like this for my kids though, I bet it is a great experience for them.

I loved the 1992 BBC miniseries when I was a kid and it was nice to revisit the story. It works very well in the japanese animated style but the story was a bit too low-paced at times. I think kids will love it and it is a nice thing to watch with them.
