The best time I've had watching a movie since BLUE VALENTINE. A fragmented, initially frustrating structure is entirely validated by its back-half bloom, the performances are captivating, and the sound design is positively Lynchian. A genuine masterpiece.
Would have to rank up there among the most disturbing movies I've ever seen. I had trouble sleeping a couple nights because I kept thinking about a couple scenes in it.
I'm kind of curious if this would have been a better film, or better regarded at least, if no one knew how it ended.
I mean I guess it's kind of hinted at early on that he was a school "shooter".
