This one is just oozing atmosphere. The village in this film is like no other I've ever seen on film. It's beautiful, but it's also decayed and claustrophobic. The geography seems to have been made up by a crazy person, which it seems most of the inhabitants are.

The usual players are here: The Skeptic, The Mystic, The Endangered Love Interest, and Superstitious Villagers. What brings it all together is the brisk execution and creepy imagery.
