20 Korean films that aren't Oldboy

20 titles to get your teeth into, might be a few there you may not know, and all are easily available and highly recommended. Nothing there with less than 4 stars. Might have to knock up a list of the more obscure titles.

  • Awesome list, but no 'A Bittersweet Life'? Also not Oldboy.

  • Hi Liam, that's a good call especially as I bought the limited edition Korean coffee book bluray that i'm too scared to open as it looks so awesome :)
I'm going to do a Korean top 10, save it getting lost in the crowd on here, will be fairly high on that list I suspect.

Thanks for stopping by, any recommends always welcome, I will watch them.

  • "limited edition Korean coffee book bluray" Awesome!

  • Excellent list. Quite a few favourites up there, and I've loved all of the ones I have seen, which has me boomarking like crazy the unseen ones!
    Ones I'd add:
    - A Bittersweet Life (obviously)
    - Bleak Night
    - Children...
    - JSA
    - Mother
    - Thirst
    - Peppermint Candy
    - 3-iron
    - A Tale of Two Sisters

Off the top of my head.

  • Thanks Thomas, seen all those apart from Bleak Night. I just plucked a random 20 decent films for people who liked Oldyboy, but didn't know where to go next. I was hunting around on the net for stuff lost, and took me ages to get to see everything.
