I'm glad Mark Webb was behind this film. The playing around with newly aquired superpowers is always fun to watch, but what makes this reboot work for me is the chemistry between the characters, and all their individual charm and depth (for this genre).

Garfield's charisma alone could melt hearts a lot colder than mine, and seeing him with Emma Stone, Sally Fields, Martin Sheen - is such a pleasure. He's one very talented actor, and whoever did the casting has done an excellent job. Emma Stone and Sally Field (with Martin Sheen) are as cute as ever. The interaction between Peter Parker and his uncle and aunt particularly, works really well, and I really like how Ben and May have been made more central in the story as opposed to being part of the backdrop.

I wish Rhys Ifan's villain would have been more memorable, but he doe a good job with what he has to work with.

Will be interesting to see what they will make of the next one!
