Title designer Saul Bass’ only feature film is a trippy dystopian flick about alien-controlled ants who attempt to dominate the Earth (or so it appears). Though praised for its unique, speculative sci-fi plot and arresting miniature insect photography, the film is in fact a bit of a chore to watch—slackly-paced, cheaply made and badly acted.
