Peter Schneider’s review published on Letterboxd :
Raw but very artistic movie about faith and the first discovery of America. In Parts I was reminded of Werner Herzogs "Aquirre". There's a man vs. nature theme going on as well. But the movie mostly draws attention to the ambiguity of faith. Mikkelsen stands like a monolith in those images that looks like paintings. But beware, there is not a lot of dialogue going on, some strong violence happens and you will be more than once challenged by the enigmatic visuals - but also rewarded. I was engaged at every minute.
