Star Trek is a wonderfully entertaining popcorn movie.

It's a film filled with a host of enjoyable characters and it has a lot of fun reinventing the franchise with plenty of knowing winks and nods directed at the audience. Despite the fun on screen, the film does dip a little in its third-act; resorting to some business-as-usual 'stop the bad guy' formalities. That said, it's all pretty top-notch and lots of fun.
