So before Abraham Lincoln was President of the United States he was out killing vampires. He pisses off the head vamp (Rufus Sewell) who comes after his family, leading to a showdown at Gettysburg. A nice idea maybe, but the resultant film is a crushing bore, all style over substance. Honestly, there's so many speeded up/ slo-mo action scenes I feared the projection was buggered. It's like watching a cross between Spartacus and True Blood on telly, and not in a good way. Benjamin Walker actually gives it a good go as Abe, but everyone else should be ashamed of themselves.
