Phil Newton’s review published on Letterboxd:
A rich adventurer hires a team to take him into the deep jungles of Indonesia in search of some lost gold. However the party come under attack and find themselves trapped in a 'dead mine' - where they uncover the mine's deadly history, and someone - or something - is down there with them. It's a familiar storyline (usually soldiers trapped in a WWII bunker) with little to distinguish it other than an international cast - including The Raid's Joe Taslim - whose performances veer wildly across the scale. Mum & Dad director Steven Shiel helms for HBO Asia and delivers an easy, if overly predicatable, watch.
