Phil Newton’s review published on Letterboxd:
As documented by Dimitri (on Stalin's orders), a troop of Russian soldiers are marching through Eastern Germany in search of their missing comrades. In doing so they uncover a Nazi bunker where a mad scientist has been conducting experiments moulding metal with flesh of the deceased... Despite its found-footage origins (in that it's all hand-held camerawork), thankfully Frankenstein's Army succeeds where others have failed thanks to a sense of fun and wild invention with its monstrous creations.
