It's back to the start for Peter Parker and another Spider-Man origin story. In Marc Webb's reboot Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) is battling Dr Connors - now The Lizard - whilst trying to dodge the police chief who just happens to be Gwen Stacy's father. For me, it's too soon since Sam Raimi's take on the character and the story here is basic original material; the effects are plentiful and okay, but what does impress is the casting of Andrew Garfield who actually makes the role his own and is by far the best thing about the film.
