Bellflower 2011
A couple of over-saturated, fantasy hipsters contextualise their waking lives within the structural and aesthetic tenets of a range of dusty genre movies.

Freeway II: Confessions of a Trickbaby 1999
Despite its sickly opening, this sour treat resolved its arc in the final act and began to win me over, but there was just too much convulsive banality and vomit-associated collateral damage in the first half of the film to tip the bilious balance. That said, there's a nice, Salty 90s soundtrack to season some of the less bulimic moments, and plenty of breadcrumbs leading back to the director's superior Freeway.

Nightmares in Red, White and Blue 2009
Largely uninspiring, rotating talking heads. Some cool clips.

Up The Junction 1968
Sociology - you got an 'ology? Some posh game-bird seeks authenticity on the other side of the river, but finds the only genuine lifestyle is a guilty one, no matter which spoon is stuck in your gob. Naturally funny, with some nice accents. Most of the cast has subsequently been in The Bill, Eastenders, BT adverts and/or one of Sam Peckinpah's controversial, possibly-consensual-so-maybe-not rape scenes. Sickening fried breakfasts all round. Adrienne Posta.
