this is a really good attempt at something strange, but as usual with American movies, that's all it is, an attempt, long slow shots of rotating shapes might have been trippy in the 60's and 70's but not now, cheap is the best way to describe this picture, went into production too fast probably needed another three drafts of the script.
I believe the film is Canadian and directed by the son of they guy who made FIRST BLOOD. I liked it less than you :)
Correction: make that the son of George P. Cosmatos who directed RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD part II.
It just keeps getting worse for this picture I can feel a downgrade coming on
