Okay, I'm not gonna waste time and write a proper review with sentences and stuff.

    - Why the undead angle? Why not make a classic car film with some shootouts? Would probably have been better since now it comes off as try-hard different and just plain ridiculous.
    - Cage just does his thing, nothing special there.
    - The direction of the action scenes and the film in general was dilettantish.
    - Special effects looked okay-ish at their best and just…

  • Star Trek Into Darkness 2013

    ★★★½ Watched 17 May, 2013 2

Overall a bit weaker than the 2009 film, I found the action to be just as entertaining, but the story was somewhat cheap in a few parts and the emotional scenes felt a bit corny sometimes. The direction was fine, I don't hate Lens Flare and Cumberbatch was obviously the highlight. Sound Design was still divine. Really, this is one of the very few films where I constantly was in awe how everything boomed and splashed and exploded and whizzed. Very nice.

If J.J. gets a good script, the next Star Wars might actually become good. Not great, but good.

  • The Terminator 1984

    ★★★★½ Watched 13 Feb, 2013 2

GREAT! Unlike many other films from the 80s, this felt modern and exciting. The sound effects are fantastic, AHRNOHLD is really not as cheesy as one would think (I'll be back.) and the action scenes are supremely entertaining.

Oh god, Linda Hamilton is so good.

    You're terminated, fucker.

  • The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford 2007

    ★★★★★ Rewatched 26 Apr, 2013

Rooms seemed hotter when he was in them, rain fell straighter, clocks slowed, sounds were amplified.

I try it again and again, after each view, but to put the quality of this film into words is simply impossible for me.

All I can do is urge people to see this. The performances, the cinematography, the pacing and the music is simply flawless.
