It's kinda pointless to review this film, but oh well. The title says it all. Over the top are the performances, over the top is the weepy father-son story. I guess that was the intent of this film so it at least gets two stars for that. It doesn't try to be anything more than what it is, but what it is is pretty lame. Seriously, arm wrestling? What an underwhelming sport to use as a template for this 'Rocky-esque' cash grab. The son made me want to stab my eyes with a blunt tool. If you look at it as a B movie, it's a little better but not much. It could have benefitted from some comedic violence if that were the case.
