Solid flick by prequel standards. I enjoyed the Professor X and Magneto characters above all else. The plot felt kind of flimsy despite the neat integration with the Cuban missile crisis. Cool concept but bring everything together took a lot of sloppy edits and quick cuts. Some of the strongest material was done in montages. I could have watched a whole movie of the students training with Prof X. Instead it's done as a music video. Slow down the pacing, focus less on getting characters from point A to point B, and more on the training and this could have been a great movie. It's still very entertaining and overall a step up from the previous X-films.
