Least Favorite Film From My Favorite Directors

Great Director, Not So Great Movie. (Suggestions Welcome)

  • Killer's Kiss is awesome.

I also like 16 Blocks, and the first half of Outbreak.

  • The Last Boyscout and Braindead?? Those films are awesome (and my second favorites by each director)!

I also disagree with Matchstick Men, Cruising, War Horse, Monkey Shines, Punch-Drunk Love, and Alice in Wonderland.

Also, I really like Killer's Kiss, Death Proof and PI (and to a lesser extent, Alien 3 and 16 Blocks), but agree that they're the directors' weakest films.

  • Or maybe Fear and Desire is Kubrick's weakest... I can't decide.

  • Killer's Kiss is a great film yet my least fave of Kubrick. That was a tough call...I have not seen Fear and Desire It's way too hard to find.

The Last Boyscout was entertaining but it felt like Die Hard and Lethal Weapon were trying to have sex but just said fuck it and got high together. Tony Scott has done alot better.

It was between Dead Alive (Braindead) and The Frighteners. I don't know, I think Peter Jackson should stick to Middle Earth.

As for the others, I welcome suggestions. There's a lot of tough calls.

  • Not Sharkboy & Lava Girl or Shorts for Robert Rodriguez?

  • Some of these aren't too bad (in general, in my humble opinion), but this is a great idea for a list!

  • I'm with Ryan on 16 BLOCKS ... it is extremely underrated. High drama throughout the entire film, and David Morse is another one of those actors that always fits the villain role like a glove.

LAST BOY SCOUT is a fun action flick ... loved hearing Bruce and Damon bicker and bitch back and forth with each other. It was so entertaining. But I do agree, Tony Scott has made better ... you gotta check out ENEMY OF THE STATE sometime.

My least favorite Burton film - still PLANET OF APES by a long shot to me. I have no desire to ever watch that P.O.S. ever again.
