After watching the first, I was really geared up to watch this and expecting big things. However, where the film excels at storytelling, cast and effects, the sequel feels forced in places and as much a good film as it is, doesn't do being a sequel to the first justice.

Great in places, and clumsy in others, Iron Man 2 is good, but not great. Let's hope 3 is better than this, and brings the series full circle from the first.
