2.5 or 3 stars? It wasn't terrible but for all the praise it got, I was very disappointed and definitely didn't like the movie, so 2.5 it is.

You know what the movie is about, young guy gets cancer. Hmm, yeah, that's about it. It's not a comedy, don't be misled. There are a few laughs but nothing big(unless you find "I don't drink, I don't smoke. I recycle" funny).

Ok, so the acting is alright but the writing and directing was far from it. You can tell Will Reiser is a first time writer. The story is poorly paced with too many throw away scenes. There is fluff with the occasional contrived "I'm talking about x but it's a metaphor for my cancer" lines. Many of those. The director doesn't help, the scenes which should be powerful fall flat due to misused music and horrible timing.

This wasn't as bad as most Hollywood flicks but it wasn't good either.
