Good simple story. Hopkins is still a pretty hammy actor, but it didn't irritate me as much in this film.

Meh. Started off well with the kids and the filming, but descended rapidly into a cheesy explosion-fest

Most animal movies are stupid, but this was an awesome tail (ha! see what I did there?) of friends, with Red Dog being the thread running between them. Genuinely sad, but with plenty of lighthearted moments. Brilliant film.
