It's a very beautiful film regarding the costumes (well deserved Oscar nom), the settings, the music and the cinematography. These were the things I most enjoyed. While the parallel story lines worked at times, overall it just didn't seem to connect meaningfully. It would have been a stronger film had it just been about Wallis and Edward or had present day Wally been more dynamic/ingratiating. Abbie Cornish must've gone to the Kristen Stewart School of Acting for this one.
