Films that did not live up to the hype
So today I was thinking about films that people raved about but didn't meet my expectations. Like I'd heard so much about them (how great/scary/funny/etc they were) but they just didn't live up to the hype.
Reminder this is my opinion so if it differs from yours, apologies. But feel free to comment. This is a continuing list so as I think of things I'll add them. Also just because a film is on this list doesn't mean I didn't like it (example the Orphanage: I loved it, I just didn't think it was scary and I was constantly told how scary it was).
Without further ado, the list:
Give Godfather a second chance someday.
Alright, I'll try! But the first time I could barely get through it.
I know this is probably the last thing you wanna do, but you should actually watch the second one. It goes into the family history (with DeNiro as Vito!) and it really builds on the first one beautifully.
I've heard that the second one is better than the first, so I may try that. And then maybe I'll give the first one another try.
So, was Watchmen not actually as bad as you'd heard?
I had exactly the same issue with both 2001 and The Shining.
Nah I had heard Watchmen was good!
