ReverendQ’s review published on Letterboxd :
I'm a sucker for sword and sandal movies - yeah, I even liked Troy! - so this one seemed like a no-brainer. I also enjoyed the director's previous films (I liked The Cell a lot more than most people, and thought The Fall was visually stunning), so despite the poor critical reviews I persevered with this. However, it deserves all the bad press it received. It looks OK (although not as good as The Cell/Fall), but the plot is awful, the editing feels half finished, and the acting is terrible.
