I won't say that I "guessed the twist ending a mile away", but I certainly felt throughout most of the film that what eventually happens was a distinct possibility. I enjoyed the mood and look of the film, as well as Nicole Kidman's performance, but my favorite thing about this movie is how long I sat around and thought about it after I'd watched it. I don't want to give away the twist ending, but it provides a really interesting take on the ghost story genre with a lot of little ideas worth ruminating over. I wouldn't really call The Others a horror film, but I think there's a lot here for people who like horror films to enjoy.
