Certainly has its share of problems, but for a fantasy epic, not bad at all. I've seen worse. It's as if the director saw the recent "Clash Of The Titans" remake and vowed to do better. The inconsistent pacing, rough script, and acting is sometimes a drag. I normally like Mickey Rourke, and he does make an effective villain here, but I quickly got tired of him. The characters are strangely drawn too; some actors are very classical, while others are quite modern.
The significant negatives are just barely outweighed by the excellent production design. Despite what appears to be not a single frame shot in natural light, the movie looks awesome. Great sets, great costume design, very good effects for the most part.
I wouldn't rush out to see it, but for fans of fantasy and Greek gods, it might be worth a watch.
