Liked it quite a lot. However, “to boldly go where no man has gone before” speech at the end of the movie performed by someone only 6 years older than me was a sacrilege.

You cannot just whip out a Picard when the movie ends, JJ.

I’m very puzzled about this movie. The first part is just mind blowing – you feel like you are an actual part of the neverending bohemian party fueled by booze and sex. It’s so vivid, so colorful and loud that I could not help but be amazed and drawn inside.

However, the second part is so contrasting that my excitement went from 11 to 3. I realize all good cinema should have a bit of drama but Moulin Rouge is the answer here, not… whatever it was.

If there’s a better movie about pursuing excellence, notify me. Meanwhile, here’s to the round pegs in the square holes.

Third viewing. Nope, still nothing.
