Despite about twenty minutes of extra screen-time for the Parker/Stacy romance, this is an awesome superhero film. The action sequences are phenomenal and Garfield's Parker exceeds all expectations. The Lizard is done quite well, although he is put on the back burner for the teen romance that is at the front of the movie.
It bothers me that Sony owns the rights, because the first 45 minutes of TAS is something we have already seen (granted, it is done much better). But, despite the movies faults, it is close to the source material and highly entertaining. Can't wait to see what they do with the series in the coming installments.
Also, it contains one of the best original scores of any superhero movie, in my opinion.
