The films I was most looking forward to haven't fared too well. Killing Them Softly seems to have mixed reactions. Lawless is similar but with less enthusiasm. Rust and Bone seems like it will at least meet expectations which aren't too high.
Cosmopolis and Mud so far down is disheartening.
oh, oops, last 6 haven't been seen yet :P
I was reading about Holy Motors yesterday. Sounds awesome and right up my alley.
Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the list shapes up; thanks for doing this!
Never heard of it before now, but Eva Mendes? Ok!
And Rocky, can I ask where you compiled the list from?
Great list! Thanks for doing the work
The picture in this article alone was enough to hook me: www.hollywoodreporter.com/review/holy-motors-cannes-review-327948
this site compiles the reactions of the international press
www.fandor.com/blog/category/film-festivals/
i also read a lot of critics and i also found stuff like this

From the reviews I've read, your ranking looks a little bit off. For instance, Amour was hailed by many as the first real contestant for the Palme D'Or (before Holy Motors was screened) while the two films ahead of it, had much more waving thumbs then their placing makes out.
I hope Cosmopolis turns out to be hit, and not the mess I'm afraid it might be.
it's difficult to measure this list / all the rankings i've seen so far are different / you are probably right about amour but there are also lots of mixed reactions / I'll keep this list updated
Nice work. Right now I am hoping Holy Motors wins. It looks sufficiently wacky for my tastes.
Also I've been posting English critic reactions for all of these films on my blog here:

What happened to Beasts of the Southern Wild, shouldn't that be on the list somewhere?
i just added this one (rank 12 so far)
I added 40 missing movies / this list is now complete
