Wild Bill 2012 ★★½

Watched Oct 07, 2012

A decent british drug drama. Not that good. Gets quickly boring and is very cliché. For a great british downer-movie watch Tyrannosaur instead.

  • Downer? This has an uplifting ending!

  • But overally not that cheery happy film. (mild spoiler:) And I understood the ending like the guy died in the bar and the dad went to jail again.

  • Del Boy, That too is true. In fact I watched this in three pieces. Got distracted so many times while watching this, it took me so long time to finish it, haha. Tells something about this film. Never got really hooked.

  • @Roni But he became a proper father, and protected his kids. I thought that was really touching.

@Del Dexter Fletcher has worked with Guy Ritchie, so he thinks he knows all this stuff, but Ritchie is an upper-class twit. Who happens to make good movies.

  • 'Stupid' is the right word. What's with the Andy Serkis (whatever-the-fuck-character-whos-name-never-presented-in-the-fiml) who just popped up couple of times, especially in the end out of nowhere, said couple of words, then went away. "I thought he'd kill us", well so did I. What the fuck?

  • DriveFiction19, That indeed was. A good part of the film. I also liked the generic idea of "been there in the past, now trying to get my shit together" , but overall the movie just didn't work and the milk was spilt.

  • @Roni I was over-tired and watching this on a plane after 21 Jump Street, so I was in a pretty good mood. Maybe I liked it more. :)

@Del It was a bit far-fetched (a prostitute for a 16 year old's birthday? No one would do that!) but it was well-acted and enjoyable. For me, anyway.

  • @Del I see your point. :)

  • Yeah, right (!) ;)

  • Saw that coming a mile off... ;')
