This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

I have been a Star Wars fan since 6-year-old boy and loved all the 6 films equally. However, the seventh is a major disappointment. Recycled material, lazy characters and acting, no decent plot, nothing original. I liked the nostalgic feelings in some scenes, Chewbacca, bar scene, bad guys, but the lack of proper duel, lack of the Jedi, lack of the character development made me sad.

Entertaining and fast couple of hours so that's why I don't want to completely…

  • The Green Inferno

    The Green Inferno 2013

    ★★★ Watched 21 Feb, 2016

Eli Roth's The Green Inferno is not unique cannibal film, because Cannibal Holocaust and Cannibal Ferox already did the job. As a cinema provocateur film The Green Inferno succeeds rather well. There's maybe one of the most brutal scenes since Hostel.

The plot is interesting and compelling from the beginning and the film is excecuted so beautifully it's easy to sit through, considering the time, that is. The scenes are upright horrific. Have to admire the skin paint, old fashioned…

Ryan Reynolds waited 11 years for this film, because 20th Century Fox thought it was a bad idea back in the days. Reynolds has been with the production, writer and directing team because he liked the thought so much and it really shows. He really gives his best and I love him for that in this film.

I know this is one of the films that make people walk out from the theater or love the film from start to…

  • The Revenant

    The Revenant 2015

    ★★★★½ Watched 07 Feb, 2016

The Revenant works best on the big screen and I'm happy I went to see it. Leonardo DiCaprio, om Hardy and Dowmhnall Gleeson are incredible and young Will Pulter is again earned his place. Irish Gleeson's yankee accent is more than believable, can't even notice.

I love this type of films. Some of the action sequences remind me of Saving Private Ryan when I first saw it, the style brings up Apocalypto and Bone Tomahawk. Slow, minimalistic, yet brutal. Visually…

I don't understand why they still make these films. Predictable, stupid shit.

  • Love

    Love 2015

    ★½ Watched 11 Jan, 2016

Gaspar Noé's latest film "Love" is marketed as provocative sex film and is mostly almost pornographic, although more raw and natural. If we leave out everything that's not suitable for minors we get lousy acting, repetitive dialoque, bad accents and spelling mistakes, almost unbearably slow picture and classical piano music.

The film is by far the most sensitive film of all Noé's production, because we don't see violence or harsh stuff. The actors are beautiful, but the only decent one…

  • The Walk

    The Walk 2015

    ★★★ Watched 07 Jan, 2016

I wish I would have not seen Man on Wire before this film, I would have liked it more. However, it's very well done, Joseph Gordon-Lewitt accent is great, you could almost fool me. Nicely done, great thrills for me who is afraid of heights like Jeff. Nothing fancypants, Hollywooded up version of Man on Wire. Watchable, but not brilliant.

  • He Never Died

    He Never Died 2015

    ★★★★ Watched 06 Jan, 2016

He Never Died anxious, brutal and dark mix of action, drama, thriller, horror, black comedy and fantasy. The package is so twisted I like it a lot. Haven't seen Henry Rollins before in such a brilliant and fitting role. Great job!

The film brings this genre to a whole new level. In these kind of films I like the situation where attacker doesn't know what to expect - and neither does the viewer. Great action pieces but in the same time just perfect tempo. Leaves room for thinking and guessing and doesn't reveal everything at once. Nice twists, nice dark film. Loved it.

Such emotions. This film is one of a kind. Can't compare it to anything I've seen before, although it reminded me a bit of Maarit Lalli's Almost 18, in a positive way. Really liked the aspect ratio, acting and soundtrack. One of the best relationship dramas out there.
