  • Little Boy

    Little Boy 2015

    ★★★★★ Watched 29 Aug, 2015

Little Boy is the king of tearjerkers. Man, I wept like a baby. As a father it's really easy to get the feels. Cute Jakob Salvati is amazing with his acting and so are the rest of the actors. Can't descsribe in words how great Salvati is.

The story and chronological order are just top notch in this film. Slightly predictableness doesn't bother, because Little Boy can surprise you anyway. Soundtrack is brilliant and the visual trip to the past is great to watch. As a lover of melodramatic drama films, this just got me completely. A warm recommendation.

  • Frequencies

    Frequencies 2013

    ★★★½ Watched 26 Aug, 2015

Frequencies is a film that needs second viewing. It has many interpretations and mine is not necessarily the right one. I loved the philosphy behind the idea, about free will (or lack of it). Really thought-provoking film. Liked it a lot, but cannot fully love it for the first time.

    Let Us Prey 2014

Let Us Prey is extremely confusing and boring film. Acting is mediocre, characters don't stand out and I still don't know what the heck was going on. Very bad. Avoid.

Far from the Madding Crowd 2015

    ★★★★ Watched 23 Aug, 2015

Haven't read the book, haven't seen the film from 1967, but I really loved this movie. Calm, easily watchable, heartwarming film. Carey Mulligan is such a joy to watch. Matthias Schoenaerts is usually stiff in his roles, but as Mr. Oak he is wonderful. I liked the feeling in this film. Soundtrack and scenery is beautiful. Recommended.

  • The Age of Adaline

    The Age of Adaline 2015

    ★★★ Watched 22 Aug, 2015

Blake Lively is so beautiful I could have easily watched her for another hour. The film is overally good, yet very predictable. Acting is great and was really surprised to see Harrison Ford here. Reminds me of the tv series Forever. Liked it.

  • Insurgent

    Insurgent 2015

    ★★ Watched 19 Aug, 2015

Hunger game -like Divergents sequel Insurgent is quite blant action film to be honest. Kate Winslet and Naomi Watts don't help this very predictable film. I usually like action-scifi, but I guess this is just not for me.

  • Dark Places

    Dark Places 2015

    ★★★★ Watched 19 Aug, 2015 2

Dark Places is a depressive and dark film, which I liked very much. Haven't read the book, but I like Gillian Flynn's work. Acting is brilliant and the plot is structured beautifully. It's not flawless, but I like depressive stuff and this was just spot on. Great mysterious and sad drama in the good old "who did it?" spirit.

    Mad Max: Fury Road 2015

    ★★★½ Watched 16 Aug, 2015

So much action that there's still gas in my veins. Maybe I expected too much, but for some reason didn't like the film as much as I hoped. Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult are awesome. The film is incredibly visual and as for action film it has maybe the best car chase scenes in the history of movies. Yet I'm not sure if I wanted to see 2 hours of car chase scenes and nothing else.

    Characters are…

  • True Story

    True Story 2015

    ★★★ Watched 16 Aug, 2015

James Franco and Jonah Hill were very believable in the film in my opinion and I didn't even think about their comedical background until after watching the film. However, I have quite mixed feelings about True Story.

I liked it, despite the fact that as a father this kind of story is always a bit shocking. I think the film didn't reveal as muh and didn't have any particular story to tell. Most of all I didn't like the build-up and general plot with turned out to be quite dull. Still watchable film, but a very confusing one. Not one of the better true stories.
