Amazingly stupid, seen before, dull, insanely predictable soft horror film with easy jump-scares and lazy acting.

Wow. That's awesome. They filmed a film for 12 years. I didn't know anything about the film and was constantly thinking "how the hell they managed to do special effects look so real or choose the actors fit the previous age" etc. Wow. Just wow. When the film ended, I was disappointed, because I wanted it to last. It contains a lot of stuff I experienced and I guess a lot of watchers experienced as well. Just awesome. This review is a disgrace for its incompleteness, but I'm without words right now. Just watch it. Now.

A very personal movie to me. Reflects almost perfectly the father and son issues I've been having and my father before me. Really deep, sad, with the moments of joy. Couldn't help it, many scenes before the ending just ended up in tears. Terrific acting, awesome atmosphere, just spot-on drama, especially for those who have ever experienced daddy-issues.

  • The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Her 2014

    ★★½ Watched 19 Jan, 2015

I still don't know what to think about these films. Her perspective revealed the story a bit, but I still find it confusing. Doesn't change my opinion about the film. Too dull, cold, a tad bit of depressing. I don't like to think that much right now, maybe that's it. Painful. Not sure why, but didn't like it. Brilliantly crafted though.

  • Fury 2014

    ★★★½ Watched 18 Jan, 2015

Typical american film. Great hangover-fun. Depressing, brutal, heartbreaking, didn't get bored. Liked it despite the spotted plot holes. Would have not liked this much in serious state of mind.

  • The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: Him 2014

    ★★½ Watched 19 Jan, 2015

Interesting. Chose to watch his version spontaneously without knowing anything about the film(s) beforehand. Maybe too slow-paced for me and didn't like the incorrectness about 'disappearing', sorry. Too cold, strange and anxious atmosphere. Too much left to the audience to think. Maybe wasn't in the mood, but no. Fell in love with the soundtrack.

  • The Equalizer 2014

Brilliant acting by Denzel, as usual. At its best when you know nothing prior watching. Had a really great time. Recommended.

  • Snowtown 2011

    ★★½ Watched 11 Jan, 2015

Depressing, slow. Atmosphere and the feeling goes straight through your spine. Liked the description of the feelings, but got quickly bored looking at it. Dragging, suffocating feeling continued till the very end, which surely might be the whole point, but I just didn't like it overall. Great film I'm sure, just not for me.

  • Three Kings 1999

    ★★½ Watched 10 Jan, 2015

I've been meaning to watch this film for a long time. After now seeing it, I think it's all over the place. No conclusion, no point made enough. I think it was more meaningful back then, but then again, I didn't like Hurt Locker either in premieres. Acting is all there, I like especially Wahlberg. Not that bad, not that great either. Overrated.

  • Before I Go to Sleep 2014

    ★★★½ Watched 10 Jan, 2015

Horrifying, when you think about it. Reminded me a lot from Memento, yet being original enough. Liked the acting, Colin Firth and Mark Strong are awesome. Really wanted to see more after the ending and usually that's a good thing. This time I felt a bit disappointed. Great tension, I liked it.

  • The Drop 2014

    ★★★½ Watched 07 Jan, 2015

The last film where you can see James Gandolfini, rest his soul. Really loved him. This film in its atmosphere and scenery reminded me a lot of The Sopranos in some way. Swedish golden girl Noomi Rapace succeedes with her acting, nothing wrong with the rest of the cast either. Great, solid crime drama with a twist.

  • The Double 2013

    ★★★½ Watched 05 Jan, 2015

The Double is interesting and different drama-thriller based on very philosophical issues. The feelings movie goes through are difficult to understand if you have not experienced the same. I was able to familiarize quite well to the atmosphere, since I've been that "nobody" some years back in my life.

I like how the movie deals with both extremes of ones personality and makes perfect sense what life is after all. Slow film and not for everyone, but I liked it overall.
