Dark Skies 2013
I know it contains some dumb stuff, but I liked it anyway. The movie is overally quite creepy and I liked the atmosphere and the mentality "this could be real if just anyone would believe it", you know. The film is just good, nothing too fancy but nothing too bad either. Liked it, really.

Les Misérables 2012
Dramatic, well acted - I mean sang -, great set pieces, overally quite good. They speak very few lines in this musical and I have to admit all the singing got me bored in the end. I can't help it, but I find Russell Crowe funny in this film, with his singing. Based on quite known story, I think this adaptation succeedes well and I think fulfills its purpose.

Warm Bodies 2013
Refreshing take on a zombie-film. Loved the acting, the humor, the twists that filled me with joy. Teresa Palmer and Nicholas Hoult play good together. Good film, surprisingly good.

Jack Reacher 2012
Thought there was going to be more action than that. The character Tom Cruise is acting is too similar than the rest of them in Mission Impossible, Collateral, etc. The acting is okay, I guess. The movie is too drawn-out and long. Should have had more spice in it. Not my taste in particular, sorry. A real disappointment

Movie 43 2013
So hated film that I just had to watch it. The movie is not clearly for those who don't like completely silly and senseless humor or think they are clever in that sense. There are lots of jokes in the film and most of them are pretty good. Found myself laughing my ass off many times and also grinned for some of them - and hey, that's all about comedy, some jokes are funny, some are not.
Despite the jokes…

A Lot Like Love 2005
Refreshing and cheering-up romantic comedy starring Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet. They fit together surprisingly well. The story could be from real life just fine. Loved the fact Aston actually signs ASL in this film. Cute, funny, fresh. Loved it. Great add to my list Movies with vision and/or hearing impairment.

Man on Fire 2004
Great action packed thriller by Tony Scott (R.I.P). It has it all - great plot, thrills, action and even some tear-jerking moments. I don't like the shaky camera-, flash and slow motion "effects" and there was so many scenes that would have been much better without those unnecessary burps. Other than that, not much bad to say about this movie. Mentally scarred traumatized character suits Denzel really well. Loved the film and that's all.

Red State 2011
It's scary how close to reality this movie is. Reminds me of Westboro Baptist Church and the events in Waco back in the days. As a movie there's some great acting from Breaking Bad actors Anna Gunn and Matt Jones and then good old John Goodman. Despite some flaws I liked the action, thrills and the unexpected stuff. Surprisingly good, expected worse. Better than just watchable film.

Timber Falls 2007
Not the worst lets-go-hiking-and-bump-into-locals -type of horror film, but certainly not any good. One word why I did not like this film: cliché. Predictableness makes this film boring. Sorry, but no. Pointless.
