  • Django Unchained 2012

    ★★★½ Watched 14 Apr, 2013

Quentin Tarantino's latest 'Django Unchained' is a fine piece of black humor -action-western. Loved the acting and plot, something different here. The movie sounds and looks good. The end of it was too long-drawn-out for me and the action sequences were too rarely shown, but other than that the movie is overall great entertaiment as a whole package.

  • The Avengers 2012

    ★★★★ Watched 21 Aug, 2012

While watching movies based on Marvel comis, ever wondered scenarios like "who would win 1vs1, Loki or Iron Man, Captain America or Thor?". This film answers the questions perfectly and fills up the fantasies. I like all the never ending action, CGI special effects. Movie even has a some kind of plot without any great amont of plot holes. The mill is on with this film in "let's kick some ass" kinda attitude, just the way I like it.

  • The Dark Knight Rises 2012

    ★★★★★ Watched 19 Nov, 2012

Wow. Christoper Nolan's third Batman-film is certainly not praised without good reasons, I assure you. The film leaves you speechless, the action combined to great actors and twisty plot, it's just pure beauty. Cannot say any negative thing about this film. Was surpirsed to see so many great actors, including old Stargate-star Christopher Judge in the side role. Can't give away much, so I'm not writing any more. I'm just saying, watch it as soon as you can!

  • Looper 2012

    ★★★★★ Watched 14 Dec, 2012

Looper is original, well acted and produced scifi movie. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is adapting to his role perfectly so that it fits with Bruce's role. The film is ultimately entertaining from start to finish, with little or no predictable parts. Loved the twists and turns that you never saw coming. I love tha fact that they have done something new with the good-old time travelling theme, something that have not seen before. Fine flick, can't add anything to it.

  • Argo 2012

    ★★★½ Watched 06 Apr, 2013

Effective thriller based on actual events. Very educational, exciting and well made piece of thriller-drama. Actings is great. Pleased to see Breaking Bad Walt Bryan Cranston in the main role.

  • Silver Linings Playbook 2012

    ★★★½ Watched 14 Feb, 2013

Silver Lining Playbook is a surprisingly fresh and different romantic comedy. Loved the way manicy was described in scenes. Reminded me a bit of me and my wife before marriage, although no third person was involved like in the film (Nikki).

Surprised the emotional side of Robert De Niro. Jennifer Lawrence finally proved herself, she's been a huge disappointment in her other films. Very very good romantic drama. Recommended for those who like a bit darker humor. Nice surprise indeed.

  • The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey 2012

    ★★★★★ Watched 05 Mar, 2013

I consider LOTR films equally good and the same goes with the first Hobbit film. I love the way the story sucks you in that you forget the rat race everyday life for almost three hours and go to the land of Tolkien. If you dig closely and cut the film to little pieces after watching the film I guess you could find some mistakes, clichées or so-so character or story development, but I have read the book a long…

  • Prometheus 2012

    ★★★½ Watched 24 Sep, 2012

I really enjoyed this film. Acting was wonderful, especially for Michael Fassbender. The plot holes didn't bother me, because the overall was good enough. CGI, good action, great thrill scenes that reminded me about the good stuff in Alien films. Great scifi flick.

  • Moonrise Kingdom 2012

    ★★★ Watched 07 Oct, 2012

Exceptional visually, great cast and good acting. Still, nothing happens in this film. A lot like Little Miss Sunshine, without fun-factor. Could have been more thrilling. Mellow, 'just good' film about life and young love. Expected more, but well, it was worth it.

  • Zero Dark Thirty 2012

    ★★ Watched 11 Mar, 2013

Zero Dark Thirty gave me similar vibes than Hurt Locker - so boring and bureaucratic bullshit that I just can't believe how it achieved all those nominations and awards. The acting is dull, although Jessica Chastain does her best in her quite boring character.

Shallow realism, pro-USA mentality, plot holes, should I continue. Is this film supposed to prove something? or be something? I just don't get the fact I wasted almost three hours for watching couple of guys talk and argue who is the bad guy.

  • Life of Pi 2012

    ★★★½ Watched 08 Apr, 2013

Life of Pi is a nice adventure film. More of anything I loved the dreamlike visuals and indian scenery. The storms were also very nice. A great film overall.

  • The Hunger Games 2012

    ★★★½ Watched 07 Aug, 2012

Not that the movie resembles many other films (Death Race, Battle Royale, Running Man, Hostel 3, etc), but the idea was nicely extended into different kind of interesting setting. I'm starting to like Josh Hutcherson, he proved himself again. Some parts irritated me in the film, but I mostly enjoyed it. Quite shaking film to be PG-13.
