Django Unchained 2012
A hugely entertaining story of a new hero, the titular Django (as envisioned by Tarantino anyway), that strikes a perfect balance between horrific and hilarious. The structure might be a tad strange, and it isn't as utterly fantastic as Inglourious Basterds, but this is just pure cinema, and as pure entertainment it is flawless.

The Dark Knight Rises 2012
The last act is pretty great, but everything up to that is just so messy. It tries to balance an epic story with a convoluted plot (which basically boils down to a 'ticking time bomb'), whilst awkwardly attempting a 'time passing' segment that flat out doesn't work.

The Dark Knight 2008
It has problems, the action ain't great, the characters are quite thin and Bale's Batman voice is still ludicrous, but you can't escape the fact that it is still fucking fantastic.

The Dark Knight 2008
Fantastic in almost every way, the action is still a little clunky, but the editing, direction and acting is incredible. Still think Bale's Batman voice is a bit strange though...
