Gary Ross was hired to set the wheels of hollywood in motion, problem with Ross? his lack of emotional depth, but Hollywood couldnt care less.
"Hunger" is a well done job but fails to portrait the anguish of a dystopian society in wich the "game" is stablished by an oppressor state to maintain control by fear.
No sense of danger or grief whatsoever by seeing nearly 24 kids killing each other to survive.
More than a feast to satisfy hunger, the movie feels like an edulcorated pastry.
Yes I read the book. Yes I think it´s a well written scifi drama for young girls and Yes! is the american rip off of "Battle Royale".
