Amusing road movie about two Dutch sisters (also in real life) looking for their mother in the USA and driving her to a rehabilitation centre.

The Oaklands Athletics baseball team is a low budget team and general manager Pitt tries to make a unbeatable team of it by not listening to his experienced staff but by listening to a young economist who analyses players in statistics. I don't know much about baseball but this movie is just great. Everything in it fits and it is almost documentary like. It is not about hidden romance relationships ( as seen often in sports movies) but just about the sport itself and everything surrounding it. Nice co role of Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

I was a bit hesitating seeing the previews and thought, well I've seen this before. When I went for the whole movie and it ended I immediately wanted to watch it over again as well as all the Lord of the Ring films as well.
This story is a fairy tale but filmed in a manner which is so stunning and spectacular that it completely absorbs you in that world.
