I had memories of this movie being bad, but I couldn't remember the specifics. On a re-watch, I began to think that perhaps it wasn't that bad after all, as the early hovercraft chase, and later fencing battle were rather decent.
The movie went downhill from there, totally jumping the shark with an invisible Aston Martin.
In one dialog between Bond and Jinx (Halle Berry), I counted 4 puns in a row. Too much. Also, wasn't the solar-focusing-laser-dish thing done back in The man with the golden gun?
This movie stinks.
